Care Academy Program
The CARE ACADEMY aims to empower young women through resilience and physical literacy, providing them with the tools, skillsets, and resources needed to achieve their full potential during and after their school years are completed.
The Overview
Confidence and resilience are powerful tools that can significantly empower young girls during their high school years, shaping their academic success and personal growth. Studies consistently show that self-assuredness and the ability to bounce back from challenges correlate strongly with positive outcomes in various aspects of life.
Empowering girls with these qualities fosters a sense of agency and independence. A study by the National Association of School Psychologists highlights that confident and resilient girls are more likely to advocate for themselves, resist negative peer pressure, and make informed decisions about their futures.
In conclusion, nurturing confidence and resilience in high school girls is not just beneficial but essential for their holistic development. By providing support, mentorship, and opportunities for growth, educators and parents can help cultivate these traits, paving the way for young women to become capable, empowered leaders in their communities and beyond.

But why Miss ?
Girls who play sport are more likely to graduate from high school. Over 90% of Australian girls aged 11-17 surveyed were reported to have insufficient levels of activity. Girls and women in sport are less likely to take drugs, engage in abusive relationships or have unwanted pregnancies.
Physically active girls will be healthier, happier, have higher self-esteem and body confidence AND have better outcomes in adult life (Victoria University findings 2020).
